Nickelback Tours – 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010

I’ve been fortunate to work with Nickelback over the course of 4 tours… Starting with Long Road in 2004 and then on into SummerFest in 2005 I worked with them as their Video Designer.  For the All The Right Reasons Tour of 2006/2007 I was given the opportunity to do the Production Design.  I was super grateful to do it, and it was a blast.  But I learned that designing the whole production on something that big, along with producing all the video content was a real stretch… For the Dark Horse Tour of 2009/2010 I gladly demoted myself back to Video Designer, and my good pal Butch Allen came in to take on the Production Design.  Nickelback is a consistantly great gig because this band is ALWAYS interested in bringing their show to the next level.  No stock content here kiddies… Everything is custom.  On Dark Horse Butch brandished a lot of video weaponry.  The super huge Nocturne V-Lite wall split, revolved and revealed a massive wall of Jereg light fixtures which we pixel mapped with video for eye burning effects.  Many thanks to programmers Sean Cagney and Tommy Hague for being with me across all of these tours.  Most of these pics are from Dark Horse, except for one from All The Right Reasons… See if you can guess which…

And here’s a bit of video from the appearance at the O2 Arena in London… Tons of Pixel Mapping Madness here !
